is an immersive installation based on smell, sound and visual mutation of organic materials.Through the vibrations of different cone speakers with above organic materials, the space will be invaded by the smell and the sound emanated by the conservation and decomposition of different organic materials founded or related to the ground.

This short piece is a desk performance: a table, a chair, tools and a microphone. It deals with identity and roots. The performer shares memories from the past, desired scenarios, and visions of the future, whilst something keeps cracking, breaking, crunching.

Coming back in order to move forward

Explores the idea of grounding as both anchoring and evolving from our roots. Inspired by the Tuareg anzad fiddle and field recordings from Niger, this solo violin piece weaves past and present into a continuous thread. Through ornamented playing and acoustic resonance, it traces a path from ethnomusicology to personal memory.

At the start, the room’s ambience is captured live in silence, amplified, and played back, creating a soft noise layer made of the room’s sound and microphone’s self-noise. This is repeated, building layers of resonances and feedback tones. The drone evolves and blends past and present sounds, inviting listeners to slow down and connect with the moment.

Deep Listening

Exploring the connection between the body and the earth through music and deep listening. The performer invites the audience to walk slowly or lie down, tuning their bodies into listening. Inspired from the historical technique „playing upon a ground“, an improvised viola da gamba solo blends ancient melodies with contemporary sounds, creating a dialogue between sound and earth.

In my performance, I won’t use the guitar as a conventional instrument but as an object to create layers of sound through effects and field recordings.
