4tet Laboratoire is an ensemble of two synthesizers and two percussionists based in Bern. They perform eclectic works in collaboration with composers, as it is important to them to play contemporary music. Their current artistic direction is focused on interdiscplinarity, theatricality and experimentation with pop aesthetics. In 2023, they commissioned Matthieu Shlomowitz to write Exploration in Polytonality and other musical wonders V.4, released in 2024 on the New York label Carrier Records.
